Tobias Harris knew he wanted to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers when Sixers star big man Joel Embiid jokingly asked him at Steve Nash’s soccer event back in June.

Harris signed the richest contract in Sixers franchise history. The swingman will make over $180 million in the next five years.

Tobias Harris' usage rate and role on the Sixers is going to be different than what it was in 2018-19. With Jimmy Butler on the Miami Heat now, Harris is going to have the ball in his hands more often.

Harris averaged 18.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27 regular season games with the Sixers while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.1 percent from the free-throw line. During the 2019 playoffs, Harris put up 15.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists. The Sixers lost to the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the playoffs in seven games. Raptors star Kawhi Leonard hit a game-winning buzzer beater over Joel Embiid.

Philly has a lethal Big 4 of Joel Embiid, Al Horford, Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons. Leonard is in the Western Conference now, so many believe the Sixers are the team to beat in the East.

The health of Embiid and development of Simmons will decide if Philly can win the title in 2019-20.
