Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris came up big for the Sixers as they took down the Atlanta Hawks on their own home floor on Friday night. After the game, Harris confessed that he had to pull out all the stops to ensure that he was locked in for Game 6.

After dropping a team-high 24 points (tied with Seth Curry) in a testy encounter, Harris told reporters in his post-game interview that he literally had to switch his phone off in the lead up to Game 6:

“Honestly, really—just turn that cell phone off,” said the Sixers star, via Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report. “When you lose, everybody has something to say. It’s about us as a team. We met, we had a meeting, we were able to really figure out ways to be better.”

Harris was abysmal in Game 5, scoring just four points on 2-of-11 shooting as the Hawks escaped with a 109-106 win in Philly. The Sixers' season was in danger of coming to an end on Friday, so Harris made sure to step up when his team needed him the most.

Harris did not ignore the criticism from his lackluster Game 5 performance. He merely drowned out the noise as he kept his focus on the task at hand. This clearly worked in his favor as he helped the Sixers to a season-saving victory on Friday night.
