Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler share a cup of tea together with the Philadelphia 76ers last season, both coming to The City of Brotherly Love via trade and joining forces just in time to make a run for the best seed in the East. As both players were due for a max-level five-year, $190 million offer from the Sixers, Butler quickly pivoted his interest to the Miami Heat, as Harris stayed with the Sixers, earning $100 million more than what he could have made by signing an extension with the L.A. Clippers last summer.

It didn't take long for the two teammates to talk, and Harris knew right away that the Heat and Butler are a match made in heaven.

“As a player and as a friend, I always want my friend to be happy,” said Harris, according to Kristian Winfield of The New York Daily News. “And he seemed very happy about the move, and I know he’s gonna like Miami. Miami’s gonna love him as a player and what he brings to the table.”

Butler's trade yielded Josh Richardson, a capable shooter with three-and-D capabilities that can now play the support role he's excelled at in his short time in the league. The move also allowed for the Sixers to sign Al Horford in free agency, which only bolstered their starting lineup heading into the season.

Now Butler will get to be the main guy for the Heat, hoping another star-caliber player will join him at some point after Miami whiffed on a trade for Russell Westbrook.
