Playing for a team as good as the Sixers is definitely a first for Burke in the NBA. He spent the first three years of his career with the Utah Jazz after the team drafted the National College Player of the year ninth overall in the 2013 draft. In all three years, the Jazz never made a playoff appearance.

Burke was traded to Washington, which gave him his first shot at seeing postseason basketball. The Wizards were built to compete against the better teams in the eastern conference behind Bradley Beal, John Wall, and Otto Porter Jr. The team flamed out in the Conference Semi-Finals, though Burke played the only three games of postseason basketball he has ever seen in a Wizards jersey.

Burke ended up on the New York Knicks after his contract expired in Washington. In his one full season in the Big Apple, the Knicks won only 29 games. Burke was traded to the Mavericks for a short stint, before ending up on the Sixers.

Burke has a chance now to show he can truly impact a team hunting for an NBA title. Last time he was in this situation, Burke led Michigan far but fell heartbreakingly short in the championship game. Let's see if he can go the distance with Philly this time.
