Philadelphia 76ers rookie and No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz is coming dangerously close to missing the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

He's been ramping work as of late, and has been shown shooting before games and at practices. But with only a few weeks left in the year and no update from the team as far as when he could return, it looks increasingly as if he won't come back, even for the playoffs.

But Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo doesn't seem to be worried about Fultz. He seems to think that everything will work out for him eventually, per Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“Everybody’s path is different,” he said. “Everything happens for a reason. What he’s going through is only going to make him stronger and better as a man and a person. … His time is coming. … I know he’ll be ready for it, because I know he puts the work in.”

Oladipo and Fultz both attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland. They know each other, even though they two graduated six years apart.

It's cool to see Oladipo vouch for Fultz and give him words of encouragement through the Philly media. It's possible that Oladipo's comments could put his mind at ease and give him a little more confidence that he will eventually get back to the player everyone thought he could be.

There could be an outside chance that Fultz finds a way to return. The 76ers look like they'll make the playoffs. If there's a way they can win a first-round series, that could be the window for Fultz.

Until then, everyone will just have to wait and see.
