During Wednesday 2020 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers acquired Seth Curry from the Dallas Mavericks via trade. His brother, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, believes that the Sixers made a great choice.

On Twitter, Curry expressed his belief that the Sixer got a gem in his brother.

While the Sixers got Curry, the Mavs got Josh Richardson and the 36th overall pick which was used to select Tyler Bey.

Philly bolstered its firepower from deep with Curry in the fold. Last season with the Mavs, he shot a career-best 45.2 percent from deep. His 49.5 percent clip from the field is also his career-high. Seth averaged 12.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 24.6 minutes of play.

For what it's worth, the new Sixers sharpshooter struggled in his first few years in the league–jumping from team to team which included stints in the G League. His last two seasons can be considered the best ones of his career. In the 2018-19 season, Curry played a vital part in the Portland Trail Blazers' playoff run where they made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

In the 2019-20 season, Seth's shooting abilities made him a perfect complement to Luka Doncic's vision and superb passing skills. And during the times when Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis were out, Curry became one of the top playmakers of the Rick Carlisle-coached squad.

Seth will be joining a Sixers squad that has been considered a playoff contender over the last few years. Apart from joining the duo of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, he will also join Doc Rivers, his father-in-law.
