The NBA released its rookie survey and it looks like Sixers youngster Zhaire Smith is the choice for the most athletic rookie in his class. Smith comes in as an athletic guard with a lot of bounce in his step.

Smith received 24 percent of the vote. Hamidou Diallo, Josh Okogie and Lonnie Walker IV all received 15 percent of the vote each. Marvin Bagley III and Miles Bridges each came in with six percent of the vote. It's clear that there are a number of athletic players coming out of this draft, but Smith was the runaway favorite in this survey.

The Philadelphia 76ers are hoping that Smith can bring an added element to the team. They're looking for athleticism, tough defense and an edge. So far, it looks like Smith checks off one of those boxes.

But unfortunately for the Sixers, Smith's immediate future looks uncertain. Smith fractured his left foot earlier this summer and his return to the team is still unknown. It's become a rite of passage for Sixers rookies to sustain an injury. It's happened multiple times and Smith is just the latest case.

He already had successful surgery, but his timetable is still unknown.

Regardless, the Sixers are looking to take another step forward next season. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are one year older and should continue to improve. Markelle Fultz is looking to bounce back after his odd rookie year. Anything that Smith can contribute will be a blessing for a team that should already be one of the favorites in the East.
