The Philadelphia 76ers arguably hold the brightest future among all young teams in the NBA today. In spite of their youthful nucleus, the Sixers already boast of having valuable postseason experience. At the forefront of their rise are Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
While Embiid is busy wreaking havoc on civilians during pickup games, Simmons is rumored to be dating reality star Kendall Jenner, according to sources of Ian Mohr and Mara Siegler of Page Six.
An insider familiar with the duo said the romance has been going on “for a few weeks.”
Another source told us the pair was spotted this week on a lunch date at the Beverly Hills Hotel. And a third source said that Jenner, 22, and Simmons, 21, were seen last week in Manhattan with a group of friends at the clubby Bowery restaurant Vandal.
While unjust or not, the Kardashian curse is the first thing that comes to mind and Philadelphia fans could not have any other notorious momentum buster than this one. All these years of trusting the process and this? Sam Hinkie might be in an office somewhere rolling his eyes with this news. What has happened to all the “Hinkie died for our sins?” chatter? There will be those thinking that the team has gone from trusting to cursing the process.
We all hope that this doesn't mark the end of the Sixers' uprising and for both Simmons and Jenner to enjoy each other's company.
