Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown was named the team's interim head of basketball operations after the resignation of Bryan Colangelo — who is involved in a Twitter scandal. Brown was sought for comment with regard to the team's future. He didn't fail to mention Markelle Fultz — signifying that the incoming second-year man will be part of his plans moving forward.

As reported by Kyle Neubeck of PhillyVoice, Brown was talking about the upcoming offseason. Brown said that he hopes players who would want to join with the Sixers would research first their style of play. Saying this, Brown feels confident moving into the next chapter of the organization.

The fact that he mentioned Fultz is a big deal. It should be noted that Fultz is a point guard, too, just like Ben Simmons. There have been whispers around the league that there's a good chance that Fultz will be sent somewhere else, feeling that he won't be able to co-exist with Simmons.

“When you say, ‘Why did somebody go play someplace?' You would think it's because I'm playing next to Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Markelle Fultz, and I hope they respect the style of play we play. I hope they research me and my coaching staff. And I think those things are the things that ultimately tip somebody into making a decision,” said Brown. “I think we're going to be just fine…we're going to go into the marketplace with a real story to tell.”
