Former Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers will watch Game 1 of the 2020 Finals with the Philadelphia 76ers' brass, per Jason Dumas of KRON4.

The Sixers are expected to offer Rivers their head-coaching job.

The Sixers fired Brett Brown after the team was swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2020 playoffs. Doc Rivers already has a relationship with Sixers general manager Elton Brand, so it's going to be interesting to see if the Chicago native takes the Philly job.

The Clippers and Rivers parted ways on Monday. Los Angeles blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs. While Rivers has the most wins in Clippers franchise history, he never guided the club past the second round and blew two 3-1 series leads.

The Sixers' roster is headlined by Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and Al Horford, although most pundits believe Brand will look to trade Horford this offseason since he wasn't a good fit next to Embiid and Simmons.

Horford was booed by Sixers fans at home games and wound up coming off the bench after being a starter for most of his career.

Rivers, 58, has coached the Orlando Magic, Celtics and Clippers. He won the 2008 title in Boston and has a career record of 943-681 in the regular season and 91-89 in the playoffs.
