The Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets will reportedly pursue Sixers swingman Tobias Harris this summer, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Harris becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Sixers acquired him at the February trade deadline from the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to several sources, the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets are among the teams that will all go after the forward in free agency. All five teams can offer maximum-salary contracts.

By trading for Harris, the Sixers acquired his Bird rights. That enables them to offer him a five-year, $188 million max contract.

Teams that don’t have his rights are only able to offer Harris a four-year, $141 million max contract in free agency. The Sixers will most likely have to offer the five-year maximum for him to stay.

Even though the Sixers can offer an extra season and an extra $47 million, Harris has leverage because he’s in demand.

Harris averaged 18.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27 regular season games with the Sixers while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.1 percent from the free-throw line.

During the 2019 playoffs, Harris put up 15.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists. The Sixers lost to the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the playoffs in seven games. Philly wants to re-sign Harris, but they also have to deal with Jimmy Butler's free agency as well.

Both Harris and Butler will command max money on the open market.
