The Philadelphia 76ers have gauged the trade market for second-year combo guard Markelle Fultz, according to Sixers insider Jon Johnson.

Fultz has not requested a trade, but the Sixers are considering trading Fultz because the franchise is tired of this saga that began last season.

Markelle Fultz only played in 14 games during his rookie season due to scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder. The former No. 1 overall pick completely forgot how to shoot the ball and people think he developed a case of the yips.

Fultz's sophomore campaign was expected to be better after he worked out with renowned shooting coach Drew Hanlen over the summer, but that hasn't been the case at all. Fultz still has a nasty hitch in his shot. He's airballed a bunch of shots from the perimeter this season and his free-throw routine is just as bad.

Markelle Fultz would prefer a fresh start with a new team, according to a report from The Athletic. The 20-year-old has been playing with an apparent injury in his right wrist area that has adversely affected his ability to shoot. Fultz’s shoulder injury is still apparent, although people in the Sixers’ organization believe all of his issues are mental and not physical.

In 19 games this season, Fultz is averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 56.8 percent from the free-throw line. Fultz really doesn’t have any trade value right now in the league. No team wants to deal with the headache and drama that is surrounding him until his issues are fixed.
