Dwyane Wade's farewell tour has been a season-long storyline. Its latest chapter came on Thursday night, when the Heat took on the Sixers for Wade's final game against Philadelphia.

During the game, Sixers Hall-of-Famer Allen Iverson released a special video tribute to Wade.

In the video, Iverson noted his respect for Wade and the way teams have treated him during his farewell tour:

“I was always a big fan of him, I still am. I'm seeing everybody treat him the way that he's supposed to be treated on his way out and it makes me proud of all the fans, and organizations that's sending him away, the way he should be.”

Wade played almost the entirety of his 16-season career with Miami. His only other stops were 60 games with the Chicago Bulls in 2016-17 and a half-season with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017-18.

In his career, Wade made 13 All-Star teams, including an honorary nod this season. He is a three-time champion and won the Finals MVP in 2006.

The 37-year-old has averaged 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in a bench role this season. For his career, Wade is shooting 48.1%. He is Miami's franchise leader in many categories, including games, minutes, assists, steals, points and win shares.

Iverson's high praise is certainly meaningful. The 43-year-old played 14 NBA seasons, and was named an All-Star in 11 of them. He won Rookie of the Year in 1996-97 and league MVP in 2000-01. Best known for his time with Philadelphia, Iverson averaged 26.7 points per game, which ranks seventh all-time.

Miami is tied with the Detroit Pistons for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. At 26-30, ESPN's BPI Playoff Odds give the Heat a 53.5% chance of making the playoffs. The Sixers are tied with the Boston Celtics for the fourth seed at 37-21.

At halftime on Thursday night, the Sixers led the Heat by a score of 57-50.
