Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers is known for his elite defense, excellent passing, and penchant for pummeling dunks on slower players (which is most of them). However, even some of the most elite finishers in the game flub a layup now and then.

It seems Simmons was due for one of those, as the Sixers All-Star brutally missed a wide-open dunk completely – not even catching the rim.

That’s alright, though, as Ben Simmons' Sixers beat up on the Brooklyn Nets without their star center Joel Embiid by a final score of 117 to 106 with Simmons piling up 20 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block in a whopping 41 minutes.

While Simmons must make sure he converts all his dunks in the playoffs, having a brilliant defender that can run your offense is a luxury that not many teams have. The Sixers with Simmons can boast such a player.
