The upstart Philadephia 76ers have a premier matchup against Golden State Warriors on Saturday night at home.

It didn't take long for the 76ers make a strong impression during the game on the defending champions as big man Dario Saric made a huge one-hand block on reigning NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant early in the first quarter of the contest.

It was an impressive play made by Saric in transition against one of the top players in the league that could have easily landed him as a victim of a posterizing dunk. However, he held firm in his ground by making a tough play by stuffing Durant at the rim.

Although Saric hasn't exactly earned the reputation as being a rim protector in his brief career averaging just 0.4 blocks per game, he certainly has the size at 6-foot-10 to be a factor from time to time. It's also not often to see Durant get blocked at the rim, especially in transition when he has what appears to be on a clear path to the rim.

With the 76ers putting on a strong first half against the Warriors, it will be interesting if that can hold up for a huge win and step in the right direction for them.
