Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is at the very core of the Sixers' “Trust the Process” motto.

Embiid's emergence as one of the best bigs in the NBA has revitalized the Sixers as a franchise after years of dormancy, and Embiid himself has consistently used the slogan over the last few years.

But, according to a recent ‘Jeopardy!' contestant, “Trust the Process” equates to “do a 180.”

To be fair, the Sixers certainly have done a “180” since Embiid came to the City of Brotherly Love.

After years of toiling at the bottom of the NBA (and racking up top picks in the NBA Draft), the Sixers reached the playoffs in Embiid's first full season in 2018.

Philly used to rely on the draft to add to their talent pool, but this past summer they signed Tobias Harris and Al Horford to lucrative contracts while also extending point guard Ben Simmons.

However, the Sixers have struggled. Philly are 37-25 after falling to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, and injuries to Embiid (shoulder), Simmons (back) and Josh Richardson (concussion) loom large in the final months.

JoJo is slated to be re-evaluated soon. Can he inspire a late surge from the Sixers heading into the playoffs? If Joel Embiid can help conjure a stunning run to the title, even this contestant will likely be yelling “Trust the Process!”
