JJ Reddick of the Philadelphia 76ers had a great game against the Detroit Pistons only to be spoiled by a career-night by his former teammate Blake Griffin. The big man finished with a career-high 50 points, along with 14 rebounds, and six assists in their overtime victory against the Sixers. Reddick, too, had a stellar performance with 30 points along with six makes from downtown.

As per Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer, Reddick praised Griffin's performance, noting that everyone is seeing the result of years and years of diligence and perseverance.

For JJ Reddick, Blake Griffin is the only teammate he's had who works that hard on his game.

Not too long ago, the two were teammates for the L.A. Clippers. The Pistons forward was already a superstar back then while the current Sixers sharpshooter lent his marksmanship in support.

Sadly, however, after a string of underwhelming playoff campaigns, the Clippers and their core group was forced to disband. Chris Paul has found a new home in a powerhouse Houston Rockets team. DeAndre Jordan is trying to make his mark in a Dallas Mavericks Jersey. Griffin and Reddick, for their part, have been important pillars for their respective teams.

JJ Reddick's night might have been outshined by a loss and Griffin's performance, but he's still happy that his former teammate's discipline and diligence is paying off.
