The Philadelphia 76ers faced off against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, and the Sixers won the game by a final score of 115 to 104. Almost every player was still reeling from the tragic loss of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and Sixers superstar Joel Embiid honored Kobe in myriad ways during the game.

First off, Joel Embiid wore jersey number 24 in the game, which was one of Bryant’s iconic numbers. Then, according to Embiid, he yelled out “Kobe” when he hit the legend’s patented fadeaway jumper to notch his 23rd and 24th points in the game:

Embiid ended the game with 24 points, once again honoring Bryant’s memory after his heart-rending death on Sunday morning.

The win for the Sixers gives them a record of 31-17, and Embiid returned following some impressive work from his fellow star Ben Simmons who looked like a world-beater without Embiid playing.

This was a powerful moment from Embiid, and one that will live on in honor of Kobe for years to come.
