Joel Embiid loves to play basketball and to troll others while doing it. In the Philadelphia's 76ers' win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, the Sixers star extended that sideshow to the Cavs' home crowd.

Late in the game, Embiid was isolated on offense against Larry Nance Jr. He started to turn around, getting ready to launch a jump shot when Jordan Clarkson came over to double-team him.

The defense didn't end up mattering at all, as Embiid drained the jumper in the faces of both former Los Angeles Lakers players and silenced the crowd.

But Embiid wasn't done silencing. There was apparently a heckler sitting courtside, and Embiid heard him talking smack. As soon as the ball went in, Embiid turned to the fan and gave him the old staredown, while also pantomiming a jump shot. It's something you would expect a guy like Embiid to do at a moment like that.

Below is the video of the whole exchange:

You would think that fans of losing teams would learn not to heckle great players like Embiid. Furthermore, you would think fans would stop heckling — period — when their team is losing.

Instead, they heckle because they're fans, and then players like Embiid embarrass them on national television. That embarrassment begets an article like this one. And an article like this one begets more people to make fun of said fan. It's a vicious cycle.

But hey, in a way, fans should keep doing stuff like this so that players like Embiid can keep silencing them and then NBA Twitter can have a field day. Because what is life if NBA Twitter can't have a field day?

Boring, that's what.
