Following a slow start to the season, the Philadelphia 76ers are hitting stride having won three straight games including four out of the last five games.
The latest came off their first home win of the season on Tuesday night in a 119-109 win over the Atlanta Hawks. This all led to rising star center Joel Embiid voicing much excitement in his end-of-game interview to the point where his reaction had to be bleeped out.

There is plenty of buzz and excitement around Philadelphia given the upward trend of the team this season. With rookie Ben Simmons running the point guard position, it has allowed for him to lead the way with offensively while further accentuating the huge impact that Embiid makes on both ends of the floor.
Simmons has been a lightning rod of strength for the 76ers this season as he nearly dropped his second career triple-double on Tuesday night with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Meanwhile, Embiid put together an equally as impressive performance notching a double-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, three steals, and three blocks in a season-high 30 minutes played.
The play of both Embiid and Simmons has helped push their team to this encouraging start that may lead to a playoff appearance. There is certainly much reason for excitement back in Philadelphia.
