Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers has been making the news lately. And it's not related to any life-changing basketball news. The Sixers center has been making the news for simply being a fun-loving big guy.

As posted by NBC Sports Philadelphia, Embiid was near a Philly basketball park then he casually drained a shot over the fence, much to the fans' cheers.

This is just one of the many clips of Embiid hanging around Philly and over the world. He was seen several weeks ago playing ball with some locals in the Bahamas.

As observed in the clip above, Embiid was holding some tennis rackets. Is Embiid injecting other sports as part of his training regimen? He did mention that he feels that next season will be an MVP year for him, per Jon Johnson of Sports Talk.

“Next year I feel like it's going to be an MVP like season for me”

He also mentioned recruiting other players in the offseason, as per Keith Pompey of Philly.com:

Um …well … um. Is this tampering?” the all-star starter responded.

“I’ll do whatever this team needs me to do,” Embiid said of attracting free agents. “I feel like I’m the leader. If the team needs me to recruit somebody, I’ll be here. I’ll be doing that.

“I want to win. I feel like any of those guys that they want to go after that’s going to help us win, I’ll be right here helping them.”

Let Embiid have his time before he puts in the work in fulfilling those statements.
