Over the past few days, Joel Embiid has been spotted doing outdoor physical activities in the evening. Just recently, he was accidentally seen by a Lyft driver jogging around downtown Philadelphia, as he tried to get some sweat going. On Monday night, he was once again out in the city, this time playing tennis.

The 23-year-old Philadelphia 76ers center is continuing to rehab his left knee injury that forced him to miss the final games of the Sixers last season. Joel Embiid has been recently cleared to resume some light work on the court, and was even reported that he “looked good” in half-court, 5-on-5 scrimmages.

Tennis may not be the common practice for players who are trying to get their knees back to 100 percent, but it could definitely help Embiid get closer to regaining his old form, especially with all the running he’ll have to do. His arms will also be worked out, as he tries to swing at the ball from his end of the court.

The activities Joel Embiid has been doing lately goes to show that he is very focused on getting better soon. His dedication to his physical well-being also proves that he is eager to play for the Sixers this season, as they look to make a lot of noise in the Eastern Conference, and even make it to the playoffs for the first time in six years.
