ESPN NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith has become a go-to presence in the media for major stories throughout both basketball and the NBA. However, Smith has also become a fixture on just about every sport's fan's television when something utterly comical or ridiculous occurs across the NBA landscape.

In this case, the latter is true as Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid, who has been known to talk some serious trash out on the court and on social media, did the unfathomable.

Not only did Embiid recently have a down game against the defending NBA Champion Toronto Raptors, but the 76ers big man didn't even score a single points in his team's losing effort.

Embiid did haul in 13 rebounds, though he immediately became the butt of the joke due to his scoreless stat sheet against the Raptors with the aforementioned Smith wasting absolutely no time in chiming in.

“I cant have that type of production,” Embiid said of his forgettable performance against the Raptors, via CBS Sports. “I never thought I’d be talking about 0 points in an NBA game, but it is what it is. Some nights you make shots, some nights you don’t.”

This goes without saying, but if the 76ers are going to compete atop the Eastern Conference this season, Embiid must continue to produce at a high level while scoreless efforts cannot become something of a frequent occurrence.

With the likes of the Raptors, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat also sitting toward the top of the conference, Embiid and the 76ers need to get it together — and fast.
