SkateBIRD, the game about a bird skating a skateboard, gets its release date pushed back for a month.

SkateBIRD originally had its release date set to August 12, 2021. It was slated for release for the Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna, with the game launching as part of Xbox Game Pass. However, things happen, and the game's release date gets pushed back for a full month.

Developers Glass Bottom Games announced the new release date through a semi-apology video. The hilarious video shows the pink bird skateboarding in front of a computer. The computer's monitor screen depicts the developers' progress, slowly getting filled in to fulfill the August 12, 2021 release date. However, the bird does an ollie wrong and stumbles on the computer's keyboard, messing up the process. The computer starts to malfunction, the progress bar goes backward, and the program starts to scream in pain. And thus, SkateBIRD gets delayed for a whole month because of a failed skateboard trick.

“Sorry,” the end-tag for the video shows, “shipping a game is hard.”

Thankfully, SkateBIRD is adorable enough to make the delay forgiveable. The cute pink bird responsible for the delay cries horribly as the computer burns down because of its failed skate moves. That must have hurt its feelings a lot, so let's not be too hard on it.
