Are we finally getting a trailer? Did the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer leak? Is Marvel Studios‘ Kevin Feige okay? What in the heck is happening?

POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD

Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer (Teaser)

We've talked about the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer quite a bit here on ClutchPoints now. From leaked Mysterio merchandise to Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige himself talking about the release date for the trailer. But now, a rumored release date has people thinking the trailer could swing online this week, according to a new report.

Spider-Man: No Way Home reunites Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange in the events following Avengers: Endgame and the multiversal madness unleashed in Loki. The film is rumored to screen exclusively at CinemaCon during Sony's three-hour presentation on August 23. According to an unconfirmed report, the film's first footage could release online Monday or Tuesday, August 24, possibly with a trailer-ending exchange between the Spider-Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Spider-Man 2‘s Doctor Octopus. (we'll get to that in a bit.)

Scooper Nick ‘Professor Hulk' Santos of ThatHashtagShow stated “with a grain of salt” that the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer will release online on Monday, August 23, or Tuesday, August 24. Santos further claims the trailer ends with Spider-Man's first encounter with a multiversal Doc Ock, who says: “Hello, Peter.”

Well, he wasn't wrong at all. Because the highly-anticipated trailer for spidey's film did get released albeit not in the way most Marvel fans expected.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer leak

Somebody give Kevin Feige paracetamol because that man is probably having a migraine right now. Ahead of this week's CinemaCon, where the No Way Home trailer was rumored to debut, an upload of the footage has already leaked online. While I can't really link the leaked trailer, I can assure you that I have seen it and it already gave us so much epicness.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the situation was quickly handled on Twitter by Sony Pictures, with tweets being removed and a copyright statement appearing in their place stating: “The media has been disabled in response to a report from the copyright owner.”

Holland himself appeared to address the leak with a simple but to-the-point message on his Instagram Story. “You ain't ready,” he wrote.

Feige previously addressed the rumors concerning No Way Home during an interview with ComicBook.

“I've read some things. I'm not sure I've read all things,” he said. “The fun thing about online speculation when it comes to our stuff is how sometimes it couldn't be more off the mark and sometimes it's shockingly close, and that's held true for the last few years.

“But saying which is which would take all the fun out of everything.”

What happens now?

To be completely honest, Marvel Studios, Sony Pictures, and Kevin Feige should all just agree to release the trailer. Most people have already seen it and it just keeps spreading like wildfire all over social media. I just hope Kevin won't punish the internet and Marvel fans because of this leak. You can't blame us, we just couldn't wait any longer.

All jokes aside, I just want to leave a gentle reminder. If you do see the leaked Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer online, do the right thing and report it (after watching). The people at Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures worked really hard to make the film a masterpiece. Even Tom Holland, who's so famous for leaking spidey info, kept his mouth shut about the whole thing and so should we.
