The defending champion Golden State Warriors visited the home of their conference rivals San Antonio Spurs Monday night sans top guns Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant. To make matters worse for the road team, All-Star power forward Draymond Green also left the game early with a pelvic injury.

However, their absence didn't matter for the crowd inside the AT&T Center. All they needed to see was public enemy no.1 in San Antonio — Zaza Pachulia.

He's best remembered for his action from last year's West Finals that was deemed by many as a dirty play. Down big, the Warriors big man appears to have slid his foot underneath Kawhi Leonard, taking away the Spurs star's landing zone.

Leonard's foot fell on Pachulia's and it resulted in a horrible aggravation of his already-hurting ankle. The Warriors took the momentum from then on and they never looked back, sweeping the Spurs in the series.

Fast forward to Monday night and Spurs fans didn't hold back in letting Pachulia know how they really feel about him and his antics. Mark Medina of The Mercury News documented on Twitter the reception that Zaza had experienced on the night.

Zaza Pachulia gets called for a foul, and Spurs fans erupt in approval as if it were retribution for the Kawhi closeout.

And now Zaza is booed when he gets the ball, laughed at when he bricks a turnaround.

It's funny hearing Zaza getting the kind of boos Kobe used to get in San Antonio.

That's pretty brutal and it only goes to show how much these fans are still affected by last year's controversial turn of events. For what it's worth, Pachulia can eventually say to his great-grandchildren that on one night, an entire arena gave him the Kobe Bryant treatment — then refuse to elaborate the context.

As expected, the Spurs prevailed over the Warriors on this one, 89-75. Pachulia played 14 minutes, though it might've felt like an eternity, registering six points and three rebounds.
