San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray was quietly one of the most dynamic players in the NBA this past season. The 25-year old was selected to his first All-Star team and developed a reputation as arguably the most underrated player in the game. Murray posted one of the most balanced seasons of any player in the league. He averaged 21.1 points, 9.2 assists, 8.3 rebounds, 2 steals, and only 2.6 turnovers per game.

And Murray is sure to not take anything for granted.

The Spurs' star posted a story to his social media reflecting on his past after his All-Star season.

10 Years Ago I Was In Juvenile And That Whole Month In There I Told The Guards Ima Get Out And Change My Life And Never Come Back And They Told Me I Will Be Right Back. 10 Years Later Them Same Guards Asking For Pictures And My Autograph!! Look At GOD!!!

Dejounte Murray used his doubters as motivation. And he mentioned that now those same doubters and critics are asking for pictures and autographs. His story is extremely inspirational.

The Spurs former first round draft pick has come a long way since entering the NBA. He displayed signs of breaking out in 2020-2021, and it all came to fruition in 2021-2022. But Murray may not have hit his peak yet. He could be in line for an even better performance for the Spurs during the 2022-2023 campaign.

He is San Antonio's franchise player. They are aiming to build a contender around him. The sky's the limit for Dejounte Murray.
