Dejounte Murray just helped the San Antonio Spurs escape a tight game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night with a heads-up defensive play against Celtics point-guard Kemba Walker. The 24-year-old starting guard for the Spurs picked Walker's pocket with the game hanging in the balance en route to a crucial basket to seal San Antonio's fourth home win this season.

Walker was trying to set himself up for a potential game-tying basket but Murray wasn't having it. Watch how the Spurs' leading steals man timed his thievery perfectly (via Bleacher Report):

Coming off his second triple-double of the season against the Washington Wizards last Sunday, Murray put up another stellar performance against the Celtics. The Washington product put up 11 points and tied his season-high of 11 rebounds alongside his huge steal with under 20 seconds left. Murray was only 5-11 from the field on the evening but, as always, made his presence felt defensively to help the Spurs stay above .500.

The Spurs' balanced attack help them secure the huge W. DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge put up 21 and 20, respectively, while Keldon Johnson added 18. They were also able to limit the Celtics to a 42.9% field goal clip while shooting just 10-30 from deep.

San Antonio has showcased a top-10 defensive rating so far this season and Murray has been a vital part of it. This season, Murray has averaged 1.4 steals per game alongside rookie Devin Vassel who also has 1.4 steals per game under his name. With the help of DeRozan, Johnson, and Lonnie Walker IV, the Spurs' wing defense has definitely been elite.
