San Antonio Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan wasn't worried about his lack of chemistry with power forward LaMarcus Aldridge earlier in the season because he knew it “was going to come” with time.

DeRozan and Aldridge have developed a really good rapport over the last two months or so, and DeMar says he's not surprised at all by it.

“Early on it was kind of up and down,” DeRozan said, via Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated. “It was a balance that we had to figure out. Probably the last month or so, I went to him and told him, ‘now we got that rhythm’ that we were talking about was going to come. We knew it was going to come, just a matter of time.”

The Spurs, behind the stellar play of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge, have shocked a lot of pundits and are on their way to making the playoffs again.

Before the season started, some critics thought the Spurs would miss the postseason this year since Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard are gone. What those naysayers didn't take into consideration was that San Antonio has the greatest asset of all: head coach Gregg Popovich.

As long as Popovich is leading the Spurs, the team will always be a force.
