DeMar DeRozan is on the San Antonio Spurs now, but he had to speak out on a recent video that criticized Toronto Raptors players of the past.

The Sportsnet video took shots at former Raptors like Vince Carter, Chris Bosh and Tracy McGrady. The focus of the video was that those stars all left, but the team still has a bright future with the recently acquired Kawhi Leonard. The video gave a friendly nod to DeRozan, who genuinely wanted to be a Raptor for life, but he wasn't a fan of how it disrespected the people that put Toronto on the map.

“I felt some type of way (about the video), for sure,” DeRozan told The Athletic. “It wasn’t even for me, but for the previous guys. For Vince, T-Mac, to Chris, you can’t undermine anything that they did. Without them, there wouldn’t have been that team we had last year, two years ago, five years ago. There wouldn’t be the team that’s there now if it wasn’t for my time there, so don’t undermine the people that came before us. I just didn’t like that.”

Nevertheless, DeMar DeRozan has clearly moved on. The Spurs are 2-1, and he helped his team secure an overtime victory over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. He was traded in a deal for Kawhi Leonard this offseason, and both teams actually seem like they'll improve from last season because of it.

The Raptors will be relevant to DeRozan for the rest of his career, but he's trying to make the best of the new journey he's beginning in San Antonio.
