San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan is clearly laying back and just listening to all the rumors this summer. The latest one on Friday came from The LA Times, claiming that he was interested in coming back home to Southern California to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Just hours after that was leaked, DeRozan responded with this:

Yes, that appears to be an emoji of a guy on a laptop. We could assume that DeMar DeRozan is insinuating that this rumor is not true? Even crazier, that same article said his former Raptors teammate Kyle Lowry is also reportedly interested in joining LeBron James and the Lakers.

DeRozan is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and is allowed to essentially sign with anyone he wants. At 31 years old, you'd think he'd be keen on going to an organization where he can compete for a title. DeMar DeRozan also grew up in Compton, so it would feel like familiar territory playing just down the road at the Staples Center.

The veteran forward is also coming off one of his best seasons ever with the Spurs in 2020-21 and is one of the hottest names on the market this summer. There will be no shortage of suitors for his talents, but based on the tweet, it does seem unlikely the Lakers will be the one to pull the trigger.
