San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan appears to be adjusting to life well with his new team. However, his mom has grown weary of his son's inability to perform an extremely important act involving head coach Gregg Popovich.

As it turns out, Mrs. DeRozan is a huge fan of coach Pop and has been dying to meet the longtime Spurs coach ever since their family moved out West. So much so, that according to DeMar himself, his mom's frustration has boiled over to a level in which profanity has become necessary:

As DeRozan points out, Popovich is one of the best coaches in the game today, and to have the privilege to be part of his team is an honor that not many players are able to experience. Surely, this has done a lot for DeRozan in terms of moving on from the heartbreak caused by his unceremonious departure from the Toronto Raptors last summer.

Nonetheless, the 29-year-old has not missed a beat, playing like his usual self on his new team. DeRozan is currently putting up 24.8 points (on 48.2 percent shooting), 5.7 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.0 steals, and a career-best 0.5 blocks in 35.8 minutes of action. It is worth noting that the assists are also a career high, which just goes to show how well the four-time All-Star has acclimated himself to Pop's system.

The Spurs have been hiss-or-miss lately, winning only three of their past seven games. To make matters worse, the four losses during this stretch have been by an average margin of 28 points. They are, however, on a two-game winning streak, and will face the lowly Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, so it appears the Spurs will be able to build some momentum as we approach the end of the calendar year.
