The San Antonio Spurs unveiled their City Edition uniforms from Nike for the 2020-21 campaign via social media on Friday morning. The jerseys, which have been dubbed โ€œFiesta,โ€ seem to be an instant hit with fans of the team.

Spurs fans have been asking for this throwback color scheme for a while, and the team has finally delivered:

The new uniform features a black base, with the teamโ€™s historic Fiesta colors in bold diagonal stripes of teal, pink, and orange. โ€œSan Antonioโ€ is stitched across the front of the new kits in script-style writing, while the team's Frost Bank logo resides on the left side of the chest. As the Spurs note in their official press release, it's the first time the teamโ€™s hometown has been front and center on a jersey since 1989.

The colors of this new kit are well-known among Spurs fans, as the team often wore them during warmups in the '90s. Without a doubt, these fans are happy to see them returning.

Just have a go at some of their reactions to these historic colors coming back:

Pre-ordering for these beautiful jersey starts on Dec. 3 at the La Cantera Spurs Fan Shop and SpursFanShop.com, according to a separate tweet from the Spurs.

The Spurs join the other NBA franchises in revealing an alternate jersey for the anxious 2020-21 season, set to start on Dec. 22 in a 72-game fashion due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Spurs finished the 2019-20 campaign with a 32-39 overall record. For the first time since 1997, the team failed to make a playoff appearance. Without a doubt, coach Gregg Popovich will be looking for improvement in the coming season.
