Gregg Popovich has put together a first-ballot Hall of Fame NBA coaching career with the San Antonio Spurs that has seen him experience a tremendous amount of success over the last two decades.

The 68-year-old is now nearing another impressive all-time mark that he could possibly reach at some point later this season, according to ESPN.

With the Spurs continuing to be a powerhouse in the league, it could be just a matter of time before he earns that prestigious mark to his name. He has already become the fastest coach in league history to reach 500 road wins in just 835 games while being sixth all-time with 1,159 career wins.

He is currently tied with Hall of Famer Phil Jackson for time all-time mark with 20 consecutive winning seasons, one of nine coaches to have won 1,000 games, and is one of five head coaches to win at least five NBA titles with one organization. He also holds the mark for the most wins by a coach with a single NBA franchise.

Popovich has already earned the reputation as being as one of the greatest coaches that the league has had behind his tremendous amount of success. This will be another career accolade that only further boosts that notion about him.
