With the success the San Antonio Spurs have had early in this season, many may have forgotten that they are still missing the services of their best player, Kawhi Leonard. However, that may change soon as Gregg Popovich revealed that he hopes the Spurs' talisman can return to action in the next three weeks.

Kawhi Leonard is continuing to recover from a right quadriceps injury that has kept him sidelined in their first seven games so far. The good news for the Spurs is that they have found a way to win even without him, and still own a 4-3 record, despite currently having a three-game losing skid.

Leonard had his best season as a pro last year when he averaged career high numbers of 25.5 points and 3.5 assists, to go along with 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 33.4 minutes per game. He was also a candidate for the MVP award and established his status as the best two-way player in the NBA today.

His imminent return will be a huge boost to the Spurs, and could help them start winning games more consistently. If he can once again play near the level he was at last year, or even surpass it, his team will be very difficult to beat, and could pose a threat to the other title favorites.
