The San Antonio Spurs continue to prove why they are still one of the NBA's elite teams after a thrilling 104-101 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Spurs came out flat to start the game and ultimately found themselves down by 23 at one point.

However, after a responding with a few rallies of their own, they managed to pull away with the controversial win. According to Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports, head coach Greg Popovich says the Spurs change in mindset is what helped fuel the comeback.

Oklahoma City shot out of the gate by ending the first quarter on an 18-2 run, however, they managed to bring the lead back down to single digits just before halftime. The game took a drastic turn in the final seconds when a three-pointer by superstar Carmelo Anthony was overruled after a review showed that his toe was on the line and the Spurs ultimately managed to hold onto the lead.

San Antonio was fueled by strong performances from big man LaMarcus Aldridge (26 points, nine rebounds) and forward Danny Green (17 points, six rebounds). Once again, The Spurs have largely flown under the radar this year with the injury to superstar forward Kawhi Leonard. Their success thus far goes to show the kind depth they have and well their system works.
