The San Antonio Spurs suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

Head coach Gregg Popovich felt that his team dribbled too much while the Thunder were more aggressive, per Tom Orsborn of San Antonio Express-News.

“We didn’t move the ball very well…We were on the dribble too much. We didn’t really attack. They attacked a lot better than we did, just straight ahead at the rim, found people.”

In their 109-103 loss, DeMar DeRozan finished with 30 points while LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points and 11 rebounds. Lonnie Walker put up 16 points and seven assists.

The Spurs have dropped to 14-19 for eighth in the Western Conference. They have split their last 10 games at 5-5. The Spurs have been struggling all season long. Analysts believe that the Popovich-led squad might miss the postseason for the first time in over two decades.

Perhaps the good thing for the Spurs is that there's a ton of games left to play. Say what you want against them, but Popovich is regarded as one of the greatest coaches of all time. He's very capable of brewing something up to motivate his team to play better.

It also helps that some playoff contenders like the Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors have fallen off the radar. Though the Spurs have been piling up the losses, they've done a much better job than the other two teams.

The Spurs will head to Wisconsin to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, then head back to Texas to face the Bucks again. After, they'll go on a four-game road trip starting with the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
