The San Antonio Spurs will still be without some of their key cogs for Thursday's TNT showdown against the Golden State Warriors, as Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker, and Jeffrey Lauvergne have all been ruled out for the game, according to Jabari Young of the San Antonio Express-News.

The Spurs faced a similar situation during their last meeting with the defending champions — playing the majority of the Western Conference Finals without their two starters.

Head coach Gregg Popovich will have to rely on forward LaMarcus Aldridge to take on the bulk of the scoring, as he has throughout the start of the season, along with the combo platter of Patty Mills and Dejounte Murray to handle the duties at point guard until Parker's return.

The 35-year-old French guard was recently recalled from the Austin Spurs of the G-League after a rehab stint, nearing his return to basketball activities.

The Warriors have struggles of their own, getting off to a mere 5-3 start to the season with losses to the Houston Rockets, the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Detroit Pistons — and while they're barely hitting their stride, they have mightily struggled with turnovers.

Knowing Popovich, who is known to play for the long road, he is likely to use this game as a way to gain as much experience as possible for his young contributors, as they take on a likely playoff contender come May.
