LaMarcus Alridge has been a God-send for the San Antonio Spurs this season. He's finally comfortable with the team, his scoring numbers are up compared to last season, and he's getting plenty of All-Star buzz.

But perhaps what's most impressive this year in particular for Aldridge is the fact that his numbers have put him in some very select company among Spurs royalty.

Aldridge so far this year is averaging about 24 points and nine rebounds per 36 minutes. Only one other Spurs player in franchise history has put those numbers: David Robinson, per Basketball-Reference.

That's right folks. Aldridge has something in common with The Admiral, who is arguably the best player to ever play for the San Antonio Spurs organization. Rest assured, this is in no way a comparison of the two players, because they're categorically different players.

But the numbers Aldridge is putting up are nothing to sneeze at.

The per-36 stat gives a glimpse into what kind of numbers a player would tally were he to play starter's minutes, which are usually around the 36 range. Aldridge is already a starter, but he's averaging 33.8 minutes per game, just shy of 23 points and 8.5 rebounds.

So really, if Aldridge played just a couple of more minutes than he does now, he would be right at those 24 and nine projections.

In any event, Aldridge should feel honored to be in the company of Robinson. It proves that Aldridge really a great Spurs player, even if he's only been on the team for one and half years.
