San Antonio Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge shared the secret to playing over 10 years in the league. At the same time, he gave lazy players a bit of a ribbing.

On Twitter, Aldridge pointed out the difference between players who was just two years in the league and those who has spent over a decade. Aldridge has been in the league since 2006 since he entered as the second overall pick in the NBA Draft. He spent his first nine seasons donning the Portland Trail Blazers jersey before moving to the Spurs before the 2015-16 season.

Someone was curious to know what Aldridge is talking about. To quell whatever rumor that might pop out, the Spurs forward went straight to the point: he doesn't understand lazy players.

LaMarcus Aldridge definitely knows what he's talking about. In his 14 years in the NBA, he has seen players come and go. Even if a player was selected within the Top 10 of the draft, it's not a guarantee that they'll become a superstar in the league. Hell, it's not even a sure shot that they'll have a fruitful career.

The NBA is one of the premier sports leagues in the world. It houses the best athletes and the only way to survive, per Aldridge, is to constantly put in the work.

For what it's worth, Aldridge has every right to preach about working hard. He's a seven-time All-Star and a five-time All-NBA member. And perhaps more importantly, the Spurs leader is regarded as one of the best big men in the league for quite some time now.
