The San Antonio Spurs are in a transitional period right now after the trade of Kawhi Leonard and the drafting of Lonnie Walker IV out of the University of Miami. Unfortunately, the debut of Walker will have to be put on hold after a promising Summer League and preseason.

According to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, Walker suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee. With the surgery set for Monday, Walker is reportedly excepted to miss approximately six-to-eight weeks.

This is the second time Walker has torn his right meniscus in the last 16 months. He previously tore the meniscus back in July of 2017, just months before the start of his freshman year.

In four Summer League appearances, the 18th overall pick in Walker averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
