San Antonio Spurs guard Lonnie Walker IV had a career game on Tuesday, as he led his team to a tremendous come-from-behind victory against the Houston Rockets. The tightly-contested matchup required two overtime periods before the game would finally be decided, with the Spurs edging out the Rockets, 135-133, after being down by as much as 22 points in the fourth quarter.

For his part, Walker logged a career-high 28 points (10-of-18 form the field, 4-of-6 from the line), four 3-pointers, four rebounds, three steals, and a block in 35 minutes of play. Following what was, without question, his best performance in his young NBA career, the 20-year-old spoke about his unforgettable outing.

“It was confidence,” Walker IV said, via Kelly Iko of The Athletic. “My teammates kept me going, and once I started feeling it, you know, I’m just going to let it go and play my game. I know what I can and cannot do, and I’m just happy that we played team ball and got this win.”

Walker, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of the University of Miami, undoubtedly holds so much potential. However, he has barely figured in San Antonio's rotation since being drafted 18th overall by the team last season. Without question, Wednesday night was his coming out party, and he definitely made quite an impression.

Currently, Walker is averaging just 7.7 minutes per contest, but given his recent outburst, it would not be surprising if head coach Gregg Popovich gives the youngster a bit more playing time somewhere down the road, especially with the Spurs seemingly now looking to focus on youth development.
