Lonnie Walker IV just threw down a massive and-one slam against Dallas Mavericks forward Nicolo Melli, and we're all still trying to recover. The San Antonio Spurs swingman instantly put his name on the ballot for Dunk of the Year Candidate with an impressive poster in transition.

Sheesh. What did the rim do to you, Lonnie?

Via SportsCenter:

It was an end-to-end play from the 22-year-old Spurs swingman after he initially stole the ball from Luka Doncic. Then, Patty Mills pushed the ball and Walker was perfectly trailing the break which set up the monster bucket.

Melli was at the wrong place at the wrong time and was the victim of the Lonnie Walker slam. Kudos to the Italian for standing his ground; unfortunately, he's at the wrong end of the poster on this one from the Spurs youngster.

Playing on just his second game back after a nine-game absence due to his wrist injury, it seems as though the third-year man is looking fresh as ever. Walker's steady play for the Spurs on both ends of the floor has been huge for San Antonio as they've been battling with roster issues, especially in their backcourt.

Walker is poised to record his best season in his young NBA career and has been pivotal for the Spurs in keeping them in playoff contention.
