Former San Antonio Spurs star Manu Ginobili is already worried about all the nerves he'll have when the team retires his jersey next March.

Ginobili put together an incredible NBA career before announcing his retirement back in August, as the former second-round pick racked up accomplishment after accomplishment during his run in San Antonio.

So, given his awesome achievements, it makes sense that the Spurs would choose to honor him in one of the best ways possible.

However, even in earning such an excellent ceremony due to all his hard work, that doesn't mean the 41-year-old will be lacking emotion.

From Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio-Express News:

Spurs great Manu Ginobili says he dreads the thought of becoming overcome with emotion at his jersey retirement ceremony.

“Quite possibly, I will cry…I do not think I'll have a good time because of the nerves,” Ginobili said. “It's a huge honor, but my hands are sweating when I think of what I have to say.”

Public speaking is a fear of many people, so it's understandable that Ginobili may be dealing with plenty of nerves when he grabs the microphone. But given all the things that he did for the franchise, there's a good chance that Spurs fans won't care about the nerves.

Ginobili helped San Antonio capture four NBA titles during his tenure with the team, and he won the league's Sixth Man of the Year award back in 2008.

He finished his career with incredible stat lines across the board, and he'll undoubtedly be greeted by plenty of cheers when his jersey is officially retired.
