Keldon Johnson was revealed to be a big fan of Mariah Carey during a Valentine's Day segment held by the San Antonio Spurs. After Johnson showed love to Carey as an artist, the Songbird Supreme returned the favor by advocating for Johnson to make the NBA All-Star Game.

On Valentine's Day, the Spurs posted a video on social media of players taking part in a “finish the lyric” game. Johnson had to finish Carey's classic single “We Belong Together,” a song that Johnson seemingly listens to every single day.

After seeing Johnson express his love for Carey, the talented singer extended her support to help Johnson make the All-Star Game. Despite Carey's endorsement, it's going to be tough for the sophomore forward to make it in the All-Star Game with all of the talented forwards in the Western Conference.

With that being said, Johnson has looked like a steal for the Spurs after being taken with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. In his second year in the NBA, Johnson is currently contributing 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

The Kentucky product is also shooting a modest 46.8 percent from the field while shooting 32.5 percent from 3-point range. Johnson undoubtedly hopes to improve his outside shooting as the season progresses.

There's no doubt that Keldon Johnson grew up listening to Mariah Carey and is an avid fan of her music. But even though Carey's name carries a ton of weight, Johnson is going to need a bit more than just Carey to lobby for him to have a remote chance of making the All-Star Game. At the least, he's earned a new fan in the multi-talented pop-star singer.
