The San Antonio Spurs blessed Twitter with Valentine’s Day vibes that caught Song Writing Hall of Famer Mariah Carey's attention.

The diva of all divas is a very tough person to impress, but Demar DeRozan and crew were up for the challenge during the team’s Finish the Lyric segment.

For Valentine’s Day, the team decided to do the segments, featuring Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together.” Carey seemed to enjoy the segment like many others on Twitter.

The Spurs home games typically feature fun videos for fans to enjoy during timeouts and halftime. Finish the Lyric is a fan favorite that has made its way on the team’s social media accounts for years.

While many will point to Keldon Johnson as the highlight of the Spurs video, Derrick White’s cool monotone rendition of the Grammy Award-winning song is worth being the conversation.

A much more important conversation for the Spurs is their preparation for today’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets offense has been rolling since rookie point guard LaMelo Ball was added to the starting lineup on February 1. Charlotte is 10th in offensive rating, fourth in offensive rebounding rate, and sixth in fast-break points per game this month. The Spurs will have to come ready to limit transition opportunities and defend the three-point line.

The Spurs barely got away with a win last time the teams matched up in 2020. They got caught in a close game and were not able to establish the level of consistency they hope for.

Yet, the Spurs won, 104-103. They were blitzed 36-19 in the first quarter but overcame that 17-point deficit to scratch out a one-point triumph. Will they repeat their success, or does Charlotte have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.

One thing is clear though, the Spurs already have their Valentine's Day vibes ready.
