The San Antonio Spurs will be without the services of Rudy Gay for Monday night's road game against the Detroit Pistons, according to Paul Garcia of Project Spurs.

Gay, now 32 years of age, is dealing with a sprained left wrist. It's the same ailment that he has dealt with since the end of December.

In his 35 appearances with the Spurs this season (32 starts), Gay has racked up averages of 13.6 points on 51.1 percent shooting from the field (41.5 percent from beyond the arc), 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and just under one steal in 26.7 minutes per outing.

With Gay ruled out of Monday's game against the Pistons, Marco Belinelli will likely see an uptick in his usage rate. Davis Bertans, who scored 17 points on five 3-pointers the last time Gay missed a game, could see a few more minutes as well.

The Spurs will be entering Monday night's game on a four-game winning streak. They're currently holding the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference standings after a convincing 108-88 win at home over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. The Pistons, on the other hand, have gone 5-13 since Dec. 1 and are coming off a regrettable home loss to the Utah Jazz on Saturday.

Though they're playing well at home this season (17-5), San Antonio's 6-12 record on the road will need to improve.

“We have to,” LaMarcus Aldridge said of improving the Spurs' record on the road. “To be one of the elite teams in the league, you have to take it on the road. We've gotten better the last couple of trips. We just have to keep getting better every trip.”

Tip-off for Monday's Spurs-Pistons game is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
