The San Antonio Spurs racked up an insane lead on the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, carving a 69-31 advantage at the half, good for a franchise-high 38-point differential, topping their previous-best of 36, according to Sports Illustrated.

The Suns were playing without phenom shooting guard and leading scorer Devin Booker, who has been dealing with rib and hip issues during the last few weeks.

The Spurs took advantage and feasted on the opposition, limiting Phoenix to a mere nine points in the first quarter and managing a massive 41-to-22 advantage in the second period. Starting point guard Dejounte Murray did his damage within the first half, dropping 14 points in 13 minutes before leaving with an ankle injury.

Gregg Popovich's bench also feasted on the struggling Suns — who have lost nine out of their last 10 games, including the last four — with three players in double digits scoring, as the point guard trio of Tony Parker, Patty Mills, and Derrick White combined for 41 points.

The Spurs needed this win to bounce back from two tough losses and pick up some steam before facing the Golden State Warriors on the road this weekend after losing two tough games against the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets.

San Antonio is only 5-5 through their last 10 games, but a sizable 129-81 win is a good sign moving forward and a boost of confidence before taking on the team with the best record in the league on Saturday night.

The Spurs will need all their horses back healthy for the matchup and hopefully rested after a three-day gap and plenty of rest with the game against the Suns out of hand from the early get-go.
