At the end of every NBA season, there are questions if it is the last one for Manu Ginobili as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. After losing to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, the 40-year-old received a standing ovation in what was perhaps the final game of his career.

After taking some time off, Ginobili decided to return for the 2017-18 NBA season with the Spurs. As a result, Tony Parker hopes to win another championship for his long-time teammate according to Jeff Garcia of Spurs Zone:

“Hopefully we can finish with the championship for Manu's last year hopefully but we never know if it's going to be Manu's last year. Maybe he's going to come back again. As long as he keeps playing, everybody's going to be happy.”

Heading into the new season, there are questions if the Spurs can compete with the Warriors. After a 23-point lead in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Kawhi Leonard sprained his ankle after landing on Zaza Pachulia's foot and the Spurs could not recover without their All-Star.

As every team in the Western Conference is gearing up for the Warriors, the Spurs had a solid offseason by signing Rudy Gay and Joffrey Lauvergne while re-signing Pau Gasol and Patty Mills. With Parker and Ginobili another year older, it will be interesting to see if they reach their championship aspirations one more time.
