The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a disappointing finish to the season after being swept in the NBA Finals by the Golden State Warriors. This has immediately pushed four-time league MVP LeBron James' future to the forefront as he has a pending free agency decision that he will have to make in just short of three weeks.

There has been a growing notion that he will hit the open market where several teams will be in line to make a pitch to him to join their franchise. With that in mind, Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell weighed in on the situation via social media by stating that he believes that James will go to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs are anticipated to be one of the few teams that will look to make a strong pitch to James to sign with them this summer. Although the team won't have the financial flexibility to offer him near a max contract that a few of the other teams will have, the organization does have the ability to sell him on their sustained success over the years that has made them one of the marquee franchises for nearly the last two decades.

There may currently be a strained relationship between them and All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard, the possible addition of James could help straighten that all out. The teaming of James, Leonard, and All-Star big man LaMarcus Aldridge could be the basis of helping push the franchise back in the title picture. What should also be an appealing part of the potential landing spot in San Antonio is playing for a Hall of Fame head coach in Gregg Popovich, who would easily be the most proven coach that he would have played for in his illustrious career.

It may be unlikely that Russell or any other players know where James is headed at this point, but the Spurs could certainly find themselves will in the mix to land James this upcoming free agency.
